Solidarity Mission Africa for Reconciliation & Development (SMARD) is a Christian based, peace and development national organization in Warrap State, South Sudan. OUR VALUES
SMARD is guided by the following values:
• Christian: SMARD is a Christian organization, which upholds the principles and the teaching of the Holy Bible. We believe in the holistic ministry of Jesus Christ giving due attenti

on to the spiritual, physical and material needs of the people regardless of ethnic origin, religion and gender.

• Solidarity:SMARD believes in the unity of purpose that promotes the collective responsibility of human community in serving the disadvantaged in the spirit of friendship, humility and mutual respect, recognizing human potential.

• Volunteerism: SMARD was born as a local initiative to address local issues without motivation for financial gain. SMARD will work with local communities and promote the South Sudanese spirit of communal volunteerism in solving local problems.

• Partnering: SMARD is a native organization, which understands local people, customs and traditions. It will however seek to partner with other international organizations or agencies working within Warrap State to harness synergies as well as partner with Government in implementing its programmes.

• Networking: SMARD will also seek to link up with other national organizations working within the same sectors to share experiences and learn lessons.
