Our next event for next years backpack giveaway! Meet me on main will be in down town Oakley tomorrow from 5:00pm-9:00pm. Come down say hi!

SAVE THE DATE! Our next backpack giveaway will be held on July 24th, 2027.

Students of all ages are welcome!

Any students not in TK-12th must provide a current class schedule or a current school ID. One backpack per student. No registration required. No income verification required.

What a weekend! This is going to be a long post.

Saturday was amazing. We have a few bumps to work out to make next year even better.

Huge thank you to

Contra Costa Scholarship Program for having their amazing queens come out and help out.

All my friends and family that came out and helped pack the U-Haul, set up, clean up, and reload everything.

Each person that patiently waited in line to collect school supplies.

Brentwood veterans hall that has give us a new home to be able to host our backpack giveaways.

As we continue to grow and evolve we will continue to make our events bigger and better.

The day is almost here! As we make final touches to prep for the backpack giveaway we just want to make a final few reminders:

1. We do not require proof of income.
2. Students MUST be present to collect their school supplies.
3. College students must provide a current school ID or class schedule.
4. We kindly ask that you allow your students select the items they would like. We want to give them an opportunity to have independence and a voice.
5. Please be patient as we work out a new routine in our new location.
6. Parking is going to be tight until 12:00 while the farmers market is going on. So please plan accordingly. The downtown parking garage is only a block away. So please park there if possible.
7. There is no limit on how many children per house hold can come and get school supplies.

3 days left! This year’s event is going to be different.

You’ll start at our check-in table where your students will be able to collect a backpack charm and get their hand stamped.

Next you’ll come to the backpack table. Your student(s) will be able to select the backpack they will like for the upcoming school year.

Then you’ll find the table for your students grade. Tables will be labeled TK-3rd, 4th-6th, 7th-8th, high school and college.

At these tables will be a selection of school supplies the student(s) can select from. At the very end of the table will be a selection of books for your their reading level. Please let your student pick a book.

We kindly ask that you allow your students to select the items they would like. What makes us different is not pre packing backpacks. We love letting everyone pick the items they like and having an opinion. So please let the student(s) pick what ever items they would like.

If you already have a backpack your student would like to use for the upcoming year just make sure to bring it with them so we can fill it.

College students must provide a current school ID or class schedule.

Parking is going to be tight while the farmers market is going on. So please park in the civic center parking structure if possible.

We will have food and drinks available for purchase.

As this is our first year in our new location please be patient as we work out all the bugs as we’re going to try and fine tune to try and make things run as smoothly as possible.

I cannot wait to see you all there! It’s going to be a great event! I cannot wait to show how the hard work from our volunteers and sponsors have paid off this year.
