PAINT Art Program “Promoting Arts Individuals & Natural Talents” A creative day program for adults with disabilities 💜 Artists at PAINT communicate through their art.

PAINT is a place filled with light and color, where artists with Intellectual Disabilities may come to freely express their creativity through art. We provide a supportive and stimulating environment where our artists can express themselves creatively using a variety of media. In expressing their thoughts, emotions, experiences, and cultures to their peers, instructors, patrons, and art lovers, th

ey also engage with a broad and supportive community. The goals of the PAINT program are to help each person reach their highest level of artistic achievement and to encourage personal growth, self-reliance and self-esteem through the creative process. We are committed to supporting people with intellectual disabilities in their quest to become working artists, and to promoting their work as an emerging and increasingly important contribution to the contemporary art world. By professionally exhibiting and marketing the artwork that is produced at PAINT, the program instills feelings of pride and self-worth. At PAINT, art is a captivating means of challenging and transforming assumptions about disability. The beauty, depth and humor of the work provokes fresh perspectives and fosters new regard for the personal vision and artistic ability of artists with developmental disabilities.

We serve adults with intellectual/developmental disabilities in the East Bay Area through 3 specialized day programs and supported living. P.A.I.N.T. provides an inclusive studio space with professional & personal development opportunities to our attendees.

All ages, all abilities. That’s what our Open Studios are really about 💜🎨

Our most recent event had some of the youngest attendees yet! Regardless of experience, everyone is an artist 🧑‍🎨

Next month, we will swapping our Open Studio with an ART SHOW 🖼️🖌️ on Saturday, May 16th 10am-3pm. Stay tuned for the details!

After that, Open Studios will resume in June 🌞 (every 3rd Wednesday of each month!)

Ever wanted to paint a landscape but don't know where to start? Looking for a fun, no-pressure creative environment to hang out? Or maybe a secret third option? Come to our Open Studio!

We will be doing a guided paint-along session (similar to Bob Ross!) for ALL skill levels 🎨 no experience necessary 🖌️ Please arrive at 5PM, we will begin painting instruction shortly after!

All materials will be provided (while supplies last), and feel free to bring your own! Don't wanna paint? Bring a sketchbook and some pens! We hope to see you there 🖼️
