🚒❤️ Did You Know October Is Fire Prevention Month?

Our OAC Memphis community welcomed the Memphis Fire Department for a special fire safety lesson! The clients enjoyed meeting the firefighters, exploring the fire truck, and learning important tips to help keep themselves safe.

Our Chattanooga community brought their A-game to the Tennessee Region Special Olympics Bowling Competition! From first-place victories to personal achievements, our athletes made us proud!

Open Arms Care Knoxville spent a full day of fun at Sensory Day at the Tennessee Valley Fair! Blake, Robert, Daniel, Caleb and their peers made the most of every moment, from thrilling rides to meeting fairground characters and sharing plenty of laughs along the way.

Sensory friendly days like this make it possible for everyone to enjoy a beloved community tradition in a way that feels comfortable and welcoming. That’s inclusion and independence in action.

Byron, David and Tommy from our Greeneville Community hit the local mini golf course for an afternoon full of laughs. Tommy took the direct approach, carrying his ball straight to the cup for a guaranteed win. 🏆

The Nashville Enrichment Center recently welcomed a new regular guest: Beamer, a therapy dog who will now visit on the third Monday of each month.

Pet therapy pairs trained animals with people to offer comfort and companionship, and spending time with a friendly dog can help ease stress and lift spirits. Beamer made himself right at home during his first visit, and his monthly visits are a welcome addition to the Enrichment Center calendar.

At Open Arms Care, we are always looking for new ways to support wellbeing and bring joy into everyday routines. We look forward to many more visits with Beamer.

Please join us in congratulating Johnny Chandler, maintenance specialist at our Greeneville Community, on his ordination as a Free Will Baptist preacher.

Johnny worked toward this goal for three years, and on August 21 it officially became a reality. His dedication, both on the job and in his personal pursuits, reflects the kind of commitment that makes our team so strong.
