That's a wrap on our First Annual Art Escape at the Farmstead!

Three days in Round Top filled with painting, sculpting, a porch-turned-gallery for our Members' Show, and the kind of fellowship you only find among artists. From morning workshops to golden-hour conversations under the oaks, this weekend reminded us why Studio Texas exists.

Thank you to every artist who joined us, to our incredible instructors, and to the Farmstead for the most beautiful backdrop we could ask for. The first annual… of many.

What is a Plein Air Quick Draw?
A plein air quick draw is a timed art competition held at plein air festivals where artists create a finished piece of art in a short, set period — often 90 to 120 minutes — under real‑time outdoor conditions Outdoor Painter. It’s a high‑energy challenge that tests an artist’s ability to work quickly, make compositional decisions, and capture light, color, and mood in a limited time.
