Brenham Area Retired School Personnel With our fund raising and volunteering, we support teachers and students. BASRPS meets every 2nd Tuesday, September through May at The Cannery.

Brenham Area Retired School Personnel, an affiliate of the Texas Retired Teachers Association, is open to those who participate in TRS or those interested in the retired educators. BARSP promotes the professional, economic, intellectual, social, and healthy well-being of retired school personnel. We encourage volunteering of time, talents, training and experience in the community, state, and nat

ion, We volunteer, working as mentors in schools, tutors, at nursing homes and hospitals, serving civic groups, and helping families with their needs. It also one of our goals to stay abreast of legislation that may be of concern to our members. BARPS offers scholarships each year to area high school seniors. Money collected each month is used to purchase books for local students through our book Project. We work to be a voice for all public education retirees.
