High-lights of our May meeting…
Our table discussion question related to the impact of AI in the classroom. BARSP scholarships have been awarded to two area high school seniors- Molly Jones and Lilli Lehrmann, Brenham High School. We raised $820 for Faith Missions Summer Food Program and presented the check to Lawrence Greer ( our last service project of the year). Eight new members were welcomed with several in attendance (and winners of door prizes, too!). All members were encouraged to vote in the run off elections. Birthdays were recognized. Members were reminded that dues for next year are due to Shelley by June 25th. She will be mailing one check to TRTA, so be sure to get yours (if you haven’t done so already) to her!
Looking ahead to the 2026-27 school year, meeting dates were given out (see the dates below in the photos). A new directory will be compiled over the summer and copies will only be handed out at the September meeting. There will be a limited number of printed copies, but the directory can be received digitally. Nancy suggested that next year’s New Retiree reception be held later in the Spring.
Finally, with the ( literally) passing of the batons, new officers were installed.
