Our mission is to promote agriculture, horticulture, and home economics while supporting youth through education and scholarships. Welcome to the Washington County Fair, established in 1868 we’re the first county fair held in Texas! We host a variety of events at the annual fair in September which includes concerts, rodeos, livestock shows, arts and craft shows, special attractions, carnival, comm

ercial exhibits and more. The fairgrounds are located on FM 577 (Blue Bell Rd.) between Highways 36 and 105 on 50 acres. We have ample parking for all visitors and participants. While in Washington County, you can enjoy a county filled with history, tradition, and beauty. After all, Washington County is the "Birthplace of the Texas Republic" and the Washington County Fair is "THE OLDEST COUNTY FAIR IN TEXAS."

Her advice to young exhibitors is to get involved as much as possible!
