Since it's founding in 2002, the Brenham Children's Chorus has had the opportunity to perform a wide variety of genres from classical (including Carmina Burana and Carmen with the Brazos Valley Symphony, and treble versions of Handel's Messiah and Vivaldi's Gloria) to Broadway to commercial jingles for Blue Bell Ice Cream and a radio station in Nashville, and folk music, art songs and pop tunes. T
hey have collaborated with adult choirs, children's choirs and symphonies and have performed in Wisconsin, Tennessee, Georgia, Missouri, and Florida. Today the organization of kindergarten through Junior College comprises a tour choir, a training choir, a select group of singers specializing in musical theatre, a high school/junior college ensemble, and music classes for early childhood through 1st grade. Brenham Children's Chorus has been lovingly supported by a small, rural community and has become one of the only children's choruses of it's kind. The founding artistic director, accompanist and assistant director have continued to lead the Chorus from it's inception and they are joined by a theatre arts director, choreographer, another assistant director and two full time office staff who have been with the chorus for a number of years, as well as experienced and early childhood certified teachers for the beginner classes.
