Do you have questions about ADHD that you've never known who to ask?

We're building something new for the Olympic Peninsula — a free, local ADHD resource guide built entirely around the questions our own community is actually asking.

It takes 2 minutes. It's completely anonymous. And your question could help dozens of other families and adults across the Peninsula who are wondering the exact same thing.

👉 Submit your question here: https://forms.gle/4AQ3w3ZtyCYN5gME9

We cover everything — diagnosis, schools and IEPs, medication, adult ADHD, parenting, local resources, and more. No question is too basic. No question is too personal.

Olympic Peninsula CHADD is a local chapter of CHADD (Children and Adults with ADHD), serving communities from Shelton to Forks. This resource will always be free.

Share this with someone who has questions they haven't known how to ask. 👇

This is a completely anonymous survey. Your name is never required and will never be shared. We use your questions to build our local ADHD resource guide and plan our monthly community discussions. Ask anything — no question is too small or too basic.

See you all at 6:30!

I recommend bringing a notebook!

We have a ton of good information on nutrition and ADHD symptoms.

I’m sure we’ve all struggled to keep nutrition a priority, let’s talk about why that’s something worth paying attention to.

Hello Kitsap CHADD Community,

Just a friendly reminder that our next meeting is this Friday, May 15th, and we have a fascinating conversation planned!

Date: Friday, May 15th
Time: 6:30–8:00 PM
Location: Kitsap Way Subway Community Room
Topic: Nutrition & Neurodivergence

What we eat affects how we think, feel, and function — and for those of us with ADHD and other neurodivergent brains, that connection can be especially significant. From blood sugar and focus to gut health and mood, food plays a bigger role in our daily experience than many of us realize.

This Friday we'll be exploring the relationship between nutrition and the neurodivergent brain — what the research says, what people have found works (and what hasn't), and how to navigate eating well when executive dysfunction, impulsivity, and sensory sensitivities are part of the picture.

Whether you're a meal-prep enthusiast or someone who forgets to eat until 4 PM, come ready to share, learn, and maybe pick up a practical tip or two. No nutrition degree required — just your experience.

We look forward to seeing you there!

Next Friday, May 15th, join the discussion on Nutrition and Neurodivergence. The information below is meant to get you thinking about your relationship with food; what have you learned about yourself? What do you still want to know? Where are you at on your nutrition journey? Come share your stories, ask questions, and learn something new! We'll see you there!

Such a great discussion last night!

Thank your everyone for sharing. We explored a lot of good topics.

My personal take away was the importance of recognizing that growth is happening.

We cyclically encounter specific challenges in our lives. Challenges that keep coming back. Growth is how we use our awareness to consciously choose to our respond differently to those challenges. This takes work, and that work needs to be recognized for the accomplishment it truly is.

Meaning, ADHD creates challenges in our lives. A common misconception about learning to live with ADHD is that if you learn enough, it will “go away”. Sorry, that’s just not what happens.

Self discovery, understanding, and awareness lead to a stronger ability to self regulate. As we continue to practice self regulation, we are rewiring our nervous systems to respond differently. If you are able to conciously calm your nervous system during or before the eruption, you’re sending a signal to your body that you’re safe, and the eruption is not “necessary”. Remember, our bodies are not logical, you have to show it safety through calming mechanisms.

The regular practice of this (in all areas of life) means the next time you encounter the challenge, the challenge might be the same, but the person approaching it has grown and can choose to approach it differently.

Overriding our bodies natural responses is hard and not always possible. The practice of self awareness in moments of struggle can help identify triggers and possible alternative response approaches.

Keep up the excellent work! Growth is evident!

See you tonight at 6:30pm!!!!!

I look forward to our discussion. I’m certain we all have some stories to tell.

Tonight’s topic is ADHD and comorbidities.

Comorbidity refers to the simultaneous presence of two or more medical conditions in a person, often occurring alongside a primary condition. It can include both physical and mental health issues that may affect treatment and overall health management.

Come to share, listen, and be seen.

Kitsap CHADD meeting Tomorrow!!

I know it’s the end of the week, you’re tired, and the last thing you want to do add one more thing… BUT!

Mentally stimulating conversation can be energizing when it’s with the right people.

When social anxiety alerts my body that it’s better to not do the social thing, I have to remind myself that I genuinely feel better after a really good, deep conversation with people who get me.

Reframe it as a great start to your weekend.

We hope to see you there!
