Donations:
YWCA Kitsap County can only accept new clothing, linens, and other items due to the risk of COVID-19 and the potentiality of a bed bug outbreak in our emergency shelter. Further, YWCA does not have the staff capacity or equipment to process used items at this time. However, our YWCA partners with Abraham’s House Charity and New Beginnings Closet. If you would like to support YWCA domestic violence survivors with donations of used clothing, linens, or other items, please consider donating directly to Abraham’s House Charity or New Beginnings Closet. If you have an item you think we can use (and it is not new), have questions about donations, or want to coordinate a donation drop-off, please contact us 360-479-0522

Dear Community Members,

In celebration of Black maternal health week, you are warmly invited to join us for a special community film screening and discussion on April 17 from 5:15–7:00 PM at Olympic College (Lecture Hall, Building 4, Room 129, 1600 Chester Ave, Bremerton).

We will be showing High Risk, a powerful documentary that explores the high maternal mortality rate among Black women in the United States. The film highlights both the challenges within the current healthcare system and the impactful work of Black birth workers who are improving outcomes for families. This is an important opportunity to come together, learn, and engage in meaningful conversation around maternal health and equity.

Please RSVP to confirm your attendance by scanning the QR code on the informational flyer attached. Grateful for you to pass this along to everyone in your networks and community.
