Bremen PTO members would like to thank everyone who helped make the school fall festival a success!
Rhonda McIntyre came to the PTO with the idea of bringing back the Fall Festival to the school, she planted the seed. The seed flourished when discussing this with the past coordinators, Lisa Langdon and Luann Kolbe. Their excitement and their offer to help ignited PTO into action.
Calls were made to local churches for assistance with baking cakes, lots of them. They were more than willing. 10 cakes each from 8 churches, school staff and families helped pitch in too.
The goal was 100 cakes. Well over 100 cakes took their place on the table ready to go home with the lucky winner of the "Cake Walk". In the past, the most memorable game of the festival. It did not disappoint a new generation of children!
The cakes that were donated were absolutely amazing! Intricate fall or winter scenes, heart shaped cakes, with sprinkles, buttercream, German Chocolate, Bundt, etc. Some donors even decorated the cake boxes.
2 families uncluttered their homes and donated 250+ pieces of trinkets for the White Elephant booth. The 3rd graders who had been given a sneak peek were the first ones to raid this booth. It was the first booth to be wiped out.
Local organizations helped too. Some assisted with a game or two, others gave prizes or food.
The big food order was prepared by husband and wife team Eric and Kimberly Schied. Their assistance went well beyond the call of duty!
Key school and community contacts motivated their friends/groups to volunteer time with set up, to man a booth or to clean up afterwards.
It was wonderful to see Bremen come together!
PTO would like to thank everyone who helped make this a great event!
Please help Bremen PTO thank the donors and volunteers. Share a story, a picture of the cakes, send a shout out to a volunteer, etc.
Thank you!
