Star Track Cycling NYC’s only youth track cycling program empowers kids from under-resourced communities.

Star Track is a free, urban youth outreach program created to teach New York City area kids the fundamentals of track cycling at Kissena Velodrome in Queens. Founded in 2004, Star Track has helped thousands of children — many from under-resourced areas of the city — discover the joys and benefits of bicycle racing and has been repeatedly designated a USA Cycling Center of Excellence. The Star Track program provides the opportunity to join a competitive cycling team with elite riders from across the country, and Star Track racers have earned more than 50 National Championship jerseys at the junior, collegiate and elite levels. Star Track is funded entirely by sponsors and private contributions, and thanks to this generous support, the program is fee-free for New York City children aged 8-16.

Ride Queens! Sunday’s very first “Ride Queens Bike Tour” was a big thrill for our kids as we explored the landmarks and communities of our home borough.  We even got to ride with Borough President Donovan Richards Jr! Can't wait for the sequel in 2027. Many thanks to NYC Parks and Transportation Alternatives for making this happen

George Hincapie has had our back since we were a fledgling program with a handful of riders at Kissena Velodrome, and every Star Track racer proudly wears a Hincapie Sportswear kit. We’re thrilled that George will join us again on October 26 for our Annual Fundraising Gala — alongside Kristen Faulkner, Bradley Wiggins, Jasper Philipsen and a galaxy of cycling stars. We hope you can join us too. It’s the very special night that keeps our zero-barriers cycling program free for any NYC kid.

This is absolutely heartbreaking.

We are profoundly shocked and saddened to share that members of our cycling team were in an accident involving a vehicle this morning while cycling in Hampton, TN. Sophomores Haylan Engdahl and Brayden Rogers were killed in this accident. Multiple other Milligan cyclists were also seriously injured and are currently receiving treatment at the Johnson City Medical Center. There are no words to adequately describe this level of loss. Our prayers are with all those impacted by this tragedy. Please keep the Milligan community in your prayers.
