Kick-It 2026: Bee the Sunshine After the Storm ☀️🐝

Brecksville Broadview Heights Middle School is kicking off their 17th year of Kick-It, a powerful school tradition that raises money for pediatric cancer research while supporting families both near and far.

Each year, they honor the strength of former Kick-It kids and continue that mission by rallying around a current fighter. This year, they are supporting Ryleigh, a brave 4-year-old facing an aggressive brain tumor. Their efforts also help fund research that brings hope to kids like her.

Their theme, “Bee the Sunshine After the Storm,” reminds us that even in life’s hardest moments, we can come together to bring light, hope, and support to others.

Today, we pause to honor and remember the brave individuals who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to our country. Memorial Day is a solemn reminder of the profound cost of war.

As a community grounded in the teachings of peace, we also use this day to pray for an end to violence across the globe. We hold in our hearts all the families and communities who continue to grieve the loss of loved ones.

May their sacrifices inspire us to actively build a world where justice rolls down like waters and peace becomes a reality for all people. 🕊️❤️

Tomorrow is one of my favorite days of the year and could quite possibly be the kindest day of your life.
It is One Million Acts Of Kindness day!
On this day you are encouraged to do as many acts of kindness as you possibly can. Will you do one, will you do 10, will you do 50, will you do 100, or possibly several hundred. You don’t need to count just be as kind as you can, think as many kind thoughts as you can and of course be kind to yourself.

Last Sunday, we had the joy of celebrating the renaming of our wonderful Music Director, Olivia Tassone. Olivia has been such a gift to BUCC, generously sharing her incredible talent and musical gifts with all of us. It was truly a privilege to honor this special moment and to celebrate the amazing person she is. We are so grateful for all she brings to our community.
