We’re grateful to 9NEWS (KUSA) and Matt Renoux for helping share the Slopes to Hope story!

In just one year, more than 17,000 pounds of lost and discarded items from Colorado mountain communities have been redirected to nonprofits and organizations that can put them to good use.

This 15-ft U-Haul truck, FULL of clothes and other items, went to Sheridan School District 2, Christ's Body Ministries, Mutual Aid Monday, Community Ministry of Southwest Denver, Assistance League of Denver, The Salvation Army USA (Denver), and Colorado Judicial Branch (Bridges of Colorado).

Thank you, Keystone Resort, for being a great partner and for creating this video!

As of today, 14,115 pounds has been diverted from the landfills and distributed to homeless shelters, churches, schools, and nonprofits in Summit County, the Denver Metro Area, and Colorado Springs!

Slopes to Hope is a nonprofit organization that operates out of Breckenridge, in Summit County. We go to hotels and resorts in the area and collect all the clothing items that their guests either lose or leave behind and then distribute them to homeless shelters, churches, and community organizations that can help us keep these thousands of pounds of clothes out of the landfill and get them to the people that need them the most.
