Hard to believe, but millions of years ago, the very first ancestor of the horse (the Eohippus) was only about 12 to 20 inches tall, roughly the size of a Labrador Retriever!

​Fast forward 50 million years, and now we have Basstian! He’s definitely not tiny, but he’s easily one of the gentlest, sweetest giants on the farm.

FRF welcomes home Mustang Sally ❤️. Sally has been in Foster care for several years. Keeping another senior horse, Billy company.

Her friend Billy crossed the rainbow bridge today. 😞. She returns to the herd she knew for many many years. They are excited to see her and eager to help her with the loss of her friend.

Sally is very old and does not have much more time here on earth with us. We will spend her last months giving her everything she loves about this place and taking her on walks of her favorite trails. We have missed you Sally and are so happy to welcome you home.

Say Hello to Duncan👋

Living with a Highland steer means accepting one universal truth: he has zero personal space awareness and completely forgets he has giant horns!

​He’ll walk up for snuggles, turn his head, and clunk, you just got tagged by 1,500 pounds of pure, affectionate goofiness. He's not trying to be tough; he just genuinely thinks he’s a lap dog!
