Our biggest Fiesta for BOEC yet.🎉

Thanks to the generosity of our community, this year's Fiesta raised more than ever before in support of BOEC's adaptive outdoor programs. We are incredibly grateful to for hosting this special event year after year, to our generous donors who continue to support our mission, and to for their lead gift that helped inspire an extraordinary evening of giving.

The night was filled with heartfelt stories, exceptional food and hospitality, and a community united by the belief that everyone deserves access to the outdoors. As we celebrate BOEC's 50th anniversary, moments like these remind us just how powerful our community is and how much we can accomplish together. Thank you to everyone who helped make this unforgettable evening possible.

We are so proud of our homeschoolers and all they accomplished this season! 🎉

At their closing ceremony, students showcased the incredible projects they’ve been working on, exploring topics ranging from solar ovens to a full replica of the Colosseum. Their creativity, curiosity, and hard work were on full display, and we couldn’t be more impressed.

Congratulations to all of our students on a fantastic year, and we can’t wait to see what they accomplish next season!

The Breckenridge Outdoor Education Center (BOEC) is seeking a dedicated leader to drive excellence across our winter operations at Breckenridge, Keystone, Copper
Mountain, and Arapahoe Basin. This role is the heartbeat of our program, focusing on building a culture of excellence through rigorous staff training and industry-leading risk management protocols.

As Program Director, you will mentor a full-time and seasonal team of 45 staff and
instructors and 200+ volunteers, ensuring the highest standards of adaptive instruction for over 2,000 participants annually. If you are a professional committed to safety, technical skill development, and inclusive outdoor experiences, join us in Breckenridge, CO.

Our 2025–26 Winter Interns have officially graduated!🎓 This group showed incredible resilience and dedication all season long. Some are returning for summer, others are off to their next chapter, but we know BOEC will always hold a special place in their hearts. No matter where you go, you’ll always have a home in Breckenridge.💚

May the Fourth be with you. The Force is certainly strong with this one✨

Molly has been part of the BOEC community for 16 years. She lives with Fanconi Anemia, a rare condition that impacts many aspects of her daily life, but on the mountain, she’s found something powerful.

Through BOEC, Molly has built confidence, trust, and lasting friendships. “The BOEC has changed my life in so many ways. I’ve learned to trust myself and others, and my instructors and volunteers have become some of my biggest supporters. I’m so grateful for my BOEC family.”

Her impact goes both ways. One of her longtime instructors, Ty, shares, “Her love for skiing is infectious, and everyone wants the chance to ski with her. Molly always brings a positive energy to our community. She loves skiing on Silverthorne, where she can say hello to other BOEC participants and share her excitement with everyone.”

Whether she’s channeling the Force, skiing fast, or handing out candy to staff, Molly reminds us that everyone deserves to feel joy on the mountain.

Our 2025–26 winter season was one to remember. Despite a challenging snow year, our team delivered exceptional experiences for every participant.

We welcomed nearly 1,000 participants from across the country throughout the season, and celebrated our 50th anniversary with Mountain Takeovers at Keystone and Breckenridge. But one of our favorite things to reflect on, is the feedback from our participants and their families, reminding us why this work is so important.

This impact isn’t possible without support from our incredible partners. Thanks to the Vail Resorts Epic Promise Foundation, we’re able to create life-changing experiences on the slopes.

Thank you to our donors, volunteers, staff, partners, and resort teams who supported our mission all season long. We’re grateful for another transformative season in the books.💚

April 28 marks a pivotal moment in disability rights and a new chapter for inclusion in sport.

On this day in 1977, Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act was signed, prohibiting discrimination based on disability and expanding access for millions.

Today, that legacy continues with the Inaugural National Adaptive Sport Day.

In Breckenridge, we’re proud to be part of the movement. As we celebrate 50 years of access, the Town of Breckenridge is recognizing BOEC today with an official proclamation.

This work is about more than sport. It’s about access, opportunity, and belonging.
