The interviews are done. The conversations were incredible. Now comes the hardest part......choosing.

Behind every great TEDx event is a team that shows up for each other, and ours did exactly that.

Together, we poured our time and energy into this process, and the talent we heard from made every minute worth it.

We're busy finalizing our lineup, and speaker profiles are coming soon. We can't wait to introduce you to the voices taking the stage this October at KALEIDOSCOPE.

Tomorrow: fire trucks, wildfire science, margaritas, and ideas worth spreading. 🔥

Come to the Silverthorne Pavilion tomorrow night for our Wildfire Salon with Hannah Ohlson of Summit Fire & EMS—a conversation about why our forests need fire, not just how to survive it.

How do we talk to our kids about wildfire? It’s a force of nature that can be scary, but it’s also one that our beautiful Colorado forests actually need to stay healthy. 🌲

Join us for a special TEDxBreckenridge Salon on Tuesday, May 5th, featuring one of the nation’s top experts in the field: Hannah Ohlson.

Hannah isn't just a Fuels Specialist with Summit Fire & EMS; she’s a former Hotshot and Helitack crew member who has spent her career on the front lines.

Earlier this year, she received the Wildfire Mitigation Award—the highest national honor in her field. She’ll be sharing her unique perspective on how fire shapes our mountain communities and how we can live safely alongside it.

🧒 We’ve made this event easy for parents! While you engage in eye-opening conversation, your kids (ages 4+) will be having an adventure of their own right next door.

Led by the experts at Keystone Science School, kids will explore the surprising science of wildfire through interactive activities. Plus Summit Fire & EMS firefighters will be on-site to give the kids a personal tour of the trucks!

How do we live safely in a wildfire-prone landscape?

Join us for our next TEDxBreckenridge Salon: Seeing Through the Eyes of a Wildfire Expert. We are honored to host Hannah Ohlson, Fuels Specialist at Summit Fire & EMS and recipient of the 2026 Wildfire Mitigation Award—the highest national honor in the field.

Hannah will share her unique perspective from years on U.S. Forest Service Hotshot and Helitack crews to help us understand the science of wildfire and how we can better prepare our community.
