We offer our condolences to the families of those who were cowardly murdered in Orlando, FL on Sunday morning, June 12th. May they be comforted by those in the various communities around the world who have an immense love for human peace and compassion. Millions of people have united in their efforts, thoughts, and prayers to show an outpouring of love and support during this devastating time. May we always remember those lost to us. They will forever live within us all.
This is a time we must stand together strong, as an LGBT people and as a nation, to do everything we can to prevent this from ever happening again. It is a sad day in U.S. history and a day we must forever remember for the sake of our nation's future. We must not be afraid but fearlessly proactive toward creating an environment of vigilance and awareness to this impending threat that is omnipresent in modern times today. We truly live in different times which require us all to be vigilantly united in our fight against hate and injustice.
We thank those who were involved in helping capture the suspect 'James Wesley Howell' possibly planning an attack during L.A. Pride on Sunday. Our deepest gratitude goes to the police force, FBI, Homeland Security, other law enforcement, and all local citizens who helped make this arrest possible and other arrests unknown to us which have made our communities safer by preventing attacks such as the attack in Orlando. Thank you.
