StuStrong Foundation Non profit foundation supporting youth sports and academics In Memory of Stuart Bennett

09/16/2026

We want to thank the StuStrong Foundation for sharing the impact of the grant we awarded in the spring. At the end of last school year, the organization supported three graduating students from Clay City and 16 seniors from Northview. The grant also helped provide sponsorships for local youth activities to ensure all young people have access to recreation and development opportunities.

We had a good turnout and great weather for the Stuart Bennett Memorial 5k this morning. It’s not everyday you’re able to lace up your shoes and run or walk on a Championship course that hosts High School State Championships, and NCAA Championships. It’s a place Stu spent a lot of time, competed, shared a lot of laughs, and shared a great deal of success with teammates in a sport he loved. Thanks to the participants and sponsors for showing up for Stu’s Foundation and helping us continue to impact the community in positive ways in his memory. Special Thanks to Halle Miller and her family for organizing and fundraising for this event. https://mwt.live/meets/77091/events/xc/2912033

Congratulations to Brad Butler top male finisher, and Loren Horn top female finisher.

Tomorrow is the 5K to benefit our Foundation and to support Stu and his love for running. You are still able to sign up to walk or run. You just won't be guaranteed a shirt. Last school year the foundation gave out $15,500 in scholarships to seniors in our county. This is why we work so hard with the help of our friends in hosting events to give back. Stu would be so proud of his family, friends and our community 💙.

We will be hosting another Stuart Bennett Memorial 5K! Sign up and share with your friends!
