On 1/4/26 with mixed emotions, the Board Members of the Austin Anderson Safehaven have made the decision to close the community youth center. This decision was not an easy one but due to the lack of attendance at the center and a decrease in fundraising it was time to reorganize what we do to help the community. The good news is that we will be restructuring over the next year allowing us to make an even greater financial impact towards the needs of the community. This will be done by selling our assets and investing the money, which will allow us to help meet the charitable needs of the community, similar to what the Wallace Foundation does. When we opened our doors 10 years ago, we couldn’t have imagined the support we would receive from the community allowing us to provide a safe place for the youth of Braymer. With heartfelt gratitude we thank you all and look forward to your continued support as we begin this next chapter.
