Unfortunately the DVBRA races in Campo are cancelled because of health issues with one of the group members. We appreciate them stepping up to continue DVBRA and hope that at some point this group or another group will continue DVBRA.

Results from the last race and final year end points are posted on the website. The top 5 in each class will receive awards unless they did not compete in at least 4 events. The points report shows members who will receive awards highlighted in green and for those who are top 5 but did not attend at least 4 events are highlighted in red and will not receive awards. Congratulations to Mary Ellen Hannon and Razor on winning the last race of the season. Thank you to everyone who helped throughout the year - Jeff & Joanie Moore-arena prep and set up, Evelyn Shipman & Judy Johnson- office help, Ross Gomez-flagger, Mike Hannon-tractor, Nancy Elmer-treasurer & points, Kris Gomez-vice-president & marking the barrels and everyone else that helped with gates and setting up barrels and poles!! We will have the final points ready this week. The awards will be ready in June. Thanks to everyone who attended our races throughout the year!!

Reminder - Last race of the season tomorrow, Saturday May 9. T/O at 5:30-6:30 and open barrels at 7:00. Progressive barrels and open poles to follow. You must attend 4 races and be a member to qualify for awards. The weather is suppose to be nice so come enjoy the last race of the season before it gets hot!!

Congratulations to Tana Castro & Renegade on their win last Saturday! The last race of the season has been changed to Saturday, May 9 in the evening due to a conflict that was recently scheduled at Cattle Call Park. Time to be announced later. To qualify for year end awards, you need to attend 4 races and be a member. Points and results will be posted at the beginning of next week. Thanks to everyone that has attended our races this season and hope to see you all in May.

Congratulations to Ruby Robbins and Palomino on winning the open barrel race yesterday and Lexi Van Der Linden and Billy on winning the pole bending. The next race is Saturday, March 21 and the last race of the season is Saturday, April 18. Thanks to everyone that helped yesterday.

Just a reminder that the current Desert Valley Barrel Racing Association (DVBRA) board members are serving their last year on the board. We have all served 3 years on a 2 year term. If anyone is interested in stepping forward to take over or would like more information about DVBRA, please contact any of the current board. We hope that some of you will be willing to take a leadership role as we think DVBRA is important for local and out of town competitors. We can work with anyone who is interested at the remaining events so that you would have a chance to learn how DVBRA runs. www.dvbra.org
