Meet Petronilla, a 2022 house recipient and one of our most cherished community members, is thriving! Known as "The Boss Lady," she continues to work hard to elevate her family’s status. Exciting news—Petronilla is expecting her third child and her family is doing wonderfully.
We’re so happy to see her progress and can’t wait to welcome the newest Inshuti member soon! 💙

Happy Worker Wednesday! 🌟

Here's a look back to 2015, when Prince was hard at work laying roofing sheets. Admire how he utilized a ring of banana leaves to hold his nails—what a clever touch! He may be reserved and focused on the job, but his warm smile and kind, welcoming demeanour make him a pleasure to be around. He is a dedicated family man and a skillful mason who represents the meaning of hard work! 🛠️❤️

Meet Hassan, a skilled Inshuti mason who received a home in 2017 and played a vital role in building our very first house. Over the years, he and his wife have created a loving home for their children, who attend school and private religious education at the mosque. They also run a small shop offering essentials to their neighbours, reflecting their commitment to family and community.

We’re so inspired by Hassan’s resilience, faith, and ambition to create a better future for his family. 💙

Niyonizeye Donatha’s journey with Inshuti began in 2021, when her neighbors asked for help to improve her well-being. Since then, she has been a committed worker on our construction sites, and because of her unwavering resilience, she has been chosen as a house recipient. 🏠

Donatha’s strength in the face of unimaginable trauma—surviving sexual assault and mistreatment—has been nothing short of inspiring. As a single mother with limited resources, she continues to persevere. Now, we are working to give her and her child the safe, secure home they deserve. 💛

Happy Family Friday! Meet Simbikangwa Pierre Celestine⭐️

Pierre Celestine is the head and sole provider for his family, living in a rural area with no job opportunities, which led to financial hardship. He worked as a night watchman in Gisenyi and, despite the challenges, moved his family there in 2017. Now, he earns $22 a month, working 6 pm to 6 am with only one day off every two weeks.

With your aid, Izzy's campaign will not only provide for his family, but also have a long-term positive impact on their lives. Your gift will enable him to provide for his family's basic necessities, such as food, shelter, and education, while also allowing them to establish a more stable and secure future ☺️

Madamu Laurence is the head of a multigenerational household, who are forced to reside in an old, delibated home. The lack of stable, good paying jobs gives this family little opportunity at changing their living situation.
