Calling all artists and creatives!! CASP is hosting its 2nd annual April Arts Marathon to raise funds for asylum seekers living in Southern Vermont!

Throughout the month of April, artists will commit to practicing and digitally sharing their work five days a week with sponsors (friends, family members, and community members) who pledge donations to CASP—turning daily creativity into critical community support.

The sky’s the limit – poems, essays, non-fiction, stories, sketches, paintings, photographs, fabric art, multimedia, music, multi-genre pieces – anything is possible. Create an original piece each day or create an accumulative art piece and share your progress. All contributions go towards providing for asylum seekers' basic needs and accompanying them on their journey to building a life in Vermont.

Spend April making art, sharing your process, and raising funds in support of asylum seekers. Interested in participating or sponsoring?

CASP and Windham World Affairs Council are excited to collaborate on this wonderful speaker event!

Please join us for this informative talk and Q&A with Dr. Sarah Osten, Latin America expert and Associate Professor & History MA Graduate Director at the University of Vermont. Dr. Osten will address how U.S. policy and intervention in Central America has led to the exodus we see today, from the origin of MS-13 to U.S.-sponsored genocide in Guatemala. More than half of CASP's clients come from this region and we welcome them while recognizing the reasons they have been forced to leave their countries behind.

One of CASP's clients will also be there with empanadas, chocoflan, and more! Try some delicious Honduran food!
