Each Summer, we are honored to be invited back to provide EMS stand-by services for the Marlboro Music Festival during the multi-week event! On the birthday of late Lt. Joe Thompson, we felt it fitting to use a photo of his favorite ambulance, then A9, posing for a sunset photo at Marlboro Music Fest 2023. We miss you Joe!

We were honored to welcome Lieutenant Governor John Rogers to our Brattleboro headquarters recently, where he spent time with our duty crew staff and students!

His visit provided an opportunity to share more about our organization and Vermont EMS Academy - VEMSA, daily operations, and the dedication that goes into training the next generation of emergency care providers.

During his time here, the Lieutenant Governor engaged with both staff and students, asking thoughtful questions and learning more about the hands-on education and real-world experience that define our approach. It was also a chance for our students to discuss their goals and for our team to reflect on the work we do together each day.

We appreciate Lieutenant Governor Rogers taking the time to visit and for his interest in our mission. Support and recognition from our state representatives reinforces the importance of preparing skilled, compassionate professionals to serve our communities.

This year we celebrate 60 years of Rescue Inc! We couldn’t think of a better way to recognize the hard work of so many people over six decades than to gather and laugh, smile, eat, and reminisce. Now more than ever, our impact on the Vermont EMS system continues to grow tremendously! We are proud of the organization we have today, and it’s all thanks to all the members, staff, and volunteers that have contributed over the years. Cheers to sixty more years!

Rescue Inc ambulance and technical rescue units were dispatched to the Old Railroad Bridge in Hinsdale for a medical emergency in progress this morning. A2/A9 and multiple tech team personnel responded alongside Hinsdale NH Fire Dept, Hinsdale Police Department and Brattleboro Fire Department to render aid to this individual.

Ultimately, we rendered care to the patient for a period of time on the bridge until a ropes system was set up and our boat made it to the scene. The patient was lowered to the boat from the bridge and was moved by boat to the closest boat launch and awaiting ambulance. This rescue was a unified response effort and we thank all responders for their assistance.
