Mass farmers and producers: thinking through the next stage of your farm business?

Join NOFA/Mass for Scale & Strategy: Building a Viable, Healthy Farm, a free TOPP workshop on Thursday, June 11 from 10AM to 4PM at Upswing Farm in Pepperell, MA.

Managing a farm at the right scale is key to building a business that works for your land, labor, markets, and long-term goals. Through tours, discussion, and on-farm demonstrations, this workshop will explore how farm scale, production choices, infrastructure, and financial sustainability fit together, offering practical insights for growers considering expansion or reevaluating what a healthy, viable farm looks like.

This event is sponsored by the Transition to Organic Partnership Program and is free to attend. Register through NOFA/Mass to reserve your spot: nofamass.org/event/scale-strategy-building-a-viable-healthy-farm

Shop Miller Farm organic dairy in the Food Hub!

Since 1916, Miller Farm (Vernon, VT) has been producing high-quality dairy rooted in sustainable farming and distinct flavor. Certified organic since 2009, the farm’s pasture-raised cows and pesticide-free fields support clean, flavorful milk.

In March, Food Connects visited the farm and met with Pete Miller and his daughter Abby, getting a behind-the-scenes look at the family’s daily operations and long-standing commitment to quality.

Their creamline-style milk is slowly pasteurized to preserve natural nutrients and rich taste. Because it’s non-homogenized, the cream naturally rises to the top, creating the old-fashioned texture creamline milk is known for. Try it in original, chocolate, coffee, and maple flavors!

You can also shop Miller Farm’s organic soft serve mix for a rich, creamy base with a hint of vanilla, made with the same high-quality organic dairy.
