We invite the community to hike our system of wooded trails from dawn to dusk. Last year we upgraded our map and signage with generous support from the Nelson E Withingon Fund. We hope it helps you enjoy the beautiful forest and stunning views of the Connecticut River Valley.

These trails are located on the campus of the Winston Prouty Center for Child and Family Development and are madeavailable to the public for non-motorized recreational use from dawn to dusk. We welcome well behaved dogs on a leash (please pick up after your dog). Our campus has many outdoor classroo...

Every moment at our annual Early Childhood Day of Play generates so much wonder and curiosity, whether it's an activity presented by one of our special guests or self-led by children and their caregivers!

On Saturday, June 27th from 10am to 12pm, join us for a joyful day of discovery. Some of the activities you can expect from this year's special guests include:
📖story time with Brooks Memorial Library
🎶Zumbini with Meghan Ohrstrom
📦cardboard crafts with Corrugated Universe
🍎 food art activities with Brattleboro Food Co-op

The Day of Play is completely free and geared specifically towards children aged 0-5 and their caregivers. Come play with us!

Yesterday, our Executive Director Chloe Learey spoke on a panel about housing as part of the UVM Leahy Institute Summer Internship Program Orientation Week. Together with Christine Hazzard of Brattleboro Housing Partnerships and Libby Bennett and Susan Lienau of Groundworks Collaborative, the panel discussed the challenges we face around housing in Windham County and highlighted the meaningful partnerships we've built in our community that work towards helping everyone thrive.

This panel of local leaders exemplifies the concept of a healthy housing continuum: people at all levels of income and need require support and options for stable housing. The Village at Winston Prouty is one part of a thriving Brattleboro, meeting the need for middle-income apartments targeted at workforce levels.
