We asked writer Laura Hardie to interview Daniel this winter. He has spent years in the conserved forest in Windham and Jamaica that his family has stewarded for decades. Laura heard about the times Daniel saw goshawks, and what he's noticed about birds in winter woods: “If you spend long enough in one spot, they’ll move through the forest, and then you’ll notice the silence return when they’re gone.” he said.
