Founded in 1973 by four music lovers in Brasstown, NC, this arts organization now sponsors six concerts of outstanding musical quality each season. The Brasstown Concert Association provides access to music of multiple genres to residents, students and visitors of west North Carolina and north Georgia. Whether it’s a professional string quartet, Sephardic Jewish group, viola da gamba consort, or b
rassworks ensemble, attendees of these concerts find themselves enthralled and engrossed by the musical acumen of the performers. The intimate setting and spectacular acoustics of the performance space of the Community Room at the John C. Campbell Folk School help round out a perfect Sunday afternoon concert experience. Young Artist Series:
The Brasstown Concert Association ardently believes in the importance of music to young minds. As a result, for most concert performances, free tickets are given to music teachers to distribute to interested students and their families. The Brasstown Concert Association also arranges for some of the artists to present performances at Clay and Cherokee County schools.
