This morning's meeting was a resounding success, commencing with the presentation of the Trivia Trophy, which our Rotary club proudly accepted for securing first place in the Rotary Trivia Contest. The meeting continued with an engaging presentation by Boy Scout Troop 2001, whom our club has the privilege of sponsoring. It was heartening to witness the troop's growth and development of essential life skills. Additionally, Bernadette Losh from Camp Barnabas delivered an informative and inspiring presentation about Camp Barnabas and Barnabas Prep, highlighting the camp's mission to provide a meaningful summer experience for children with diverse disabilities and offering respite to their families. The meeting was well-attended and packed with valuable content. Don't forget the Springfield Cardinals Rotary game on next Thursday, 6/11.

The Rotary meeting this morning at Getting Basted was outstanding. We had the opportunity to hear Michele Dean from Christian Action Ministries discuss their innovative approach to food banks, allowing clients to select their own groceries. Additionally, they offer spiritual support through prayer. Notably, Sandy Miller, a Daybreaker Rotarian, has played a crucial role in developing an informative data dashboard that provides valuable insights for non-profits.

Our club will be going to the Springfield Cardinals on Thursday June 11th. This is a date change from Wednesday the 10th. Get with Tony if you have not signed up.

Mindy Honey from the Silver Dollar City Foundation discussed the organization's ongoing efforts to support local schools across districts such as Branson and Bradleyville. With two decades of service, the Care For Kids program addresses critical needs of children, including health care and family utility assistance. The foundation's partnership with Springfield's Care to Learn program extends its impact to 14 school districts. One example of this partnership benefits is that it helped facilitated the installation of showers in the Mark Twain district, where some students lack access to basic amenities like running water. The community is grateful for the Silver Dollar City Foundation's work.

S of O student receives RYLA Scholarship

The Branson Daybreakers Rotary Club awarded School of the Ozarks freshman Lila Robinson with a scholarship to attend the 2026 Rotary Youth Leadership Awards (RYLA) academy at University of Central Missouri located at Warrensburg, MO, this summer.
The Branson Daybreakers Rotary club selected Lila based on the recommendation of the faculty and administration of School of the Ozarks. The scholarship will cover expenses associated with attending the summer RYLA academy. The primary goal for the RYLA academy is to give students a chance to identify and enhance their leadership skills, be trained on how to successfully implement a service project, and be inspired to live a lifetime of “Service above Self.”
RYLA is a Rotary International program and has been offered in Missouri for over 25 years.
Lila is the daughter of Katie Robinson of Hollister, MO.

Names of those included in the picture (L-R) Rotarians Joel Krueger & Tom Debo, Lila Robinson and her mother, Katie Robinson.
