As one of the original Navajo Code Talkers, he answered the call in 1942, stepping into the unknown as a young U.S. Marine. In the chaos of war—from the jungles of Bougainville to the shores of Guam and the fierce battlefields of Iwo Jima—he did something extraordinary. He turned his mother tongue into a weapon of hope. Through every transmission, he safeguarded lives, outpaced the enemy, and helped alter the course of history without ever seeking recognition.
