🎭Meet the writers and works of the Ozark Playwrights Festival!
S TYRONE WILLIAMS, and his legal drama, COMPROMISE(D)

⭐S TYRONE WILLIAMS is an actor for the page, stage, and screen with Broadway, off-Broadway, and National Tour performance credits, as well as feature film and major network TV experience. PLAY SYNOPSIS:
COMPROMISE(D) is a 2-person legal drama set in St. Louis in 1835, inspired by the true story of John Berry Meachum, a free Black man and target of a misdirected lawsuit. Meachum must decide whether to compromise his core beliefs when the argument of slavery becomes his best defense to beat the case. COMPROMISE(D) has a runtime of 95 minutes with no intermission.

📝The first 20 minutes of his new script, COMPROMISE(D) will be performed at our September 13 event! Performance starts at 3:00.

The Branson Regional Arts Council Youth Conservatory is excited to launch Prelude, a new youth theatre program for students in 1st–3rd grade!

Beginning September 15, students will build confidence and foundational skills in theatre, dance, vocals, stage presence, audition skills, and more, all while having fun and developing a love for the arts! ❤️

📅 Tuesdays | September 15–December 1
⏰ 4:30–5:30 PM
📍 Historic Owen Theatre
💰 $175 per semester

Students will also have the opportunity to perform in a special end-of-semester showcase in December!

Classes are led by Ms. Maddy Bridges and Ms. Velvet Dougharty.

🎭 The first ever “Ozark Playwright’s Festival” is almost here!

⭐️ Join us on Sunday, September 13th at 3:00 for an afternoon of new works from playwrights in our community and beyond!

✨ Each group has been hard at work rehearsing, designing, and building in different locations around the Branson/Springfield area as they prepare to present these new pieces to our community for the first time!

The Branson Regional Arts Council and Arising-N-Hope are proud to co-host a Golf Tournament Fundraiser on Sunday, September 27, at Holiday Hills Golf Course.

⛳ Tee Time: 8:00 AM
🏌️ Format: Two-Person Scramble
💲 Team Entry: $200 per team

This exciting tournament is an opportunity to enjoy a day on the course while helping raise important funds to support the missions and programs of both nonprofit organizations.

❄️The Branson Regional Arts Council is holding open auditions for the hilarious holiday comedy Christmas Belles! We are looking for energetic actors of all experience levels. No prior experience or prepared material is required—just bring your enthusiasm and come ready to read!

⭐AUDITION DATES & LOCATIONS
(Auditionees only need to attend ONE night of auditions.)

❄️Night 1: Sunday, September 20th | 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM
Location: Hollister High School, 2112 State Hwy BB, Hollister, MO 65672
Entrance Info: Please enter through the side theatre door marked Door #8 (the number is posted directly above the door).

🎄Night 2: Monday, September 21st | 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM
Location: Historic Owen Theatre (BRAC), 205 S. Commercial St., Branson, MO 65616

🎭AUDITION DETAILS & WHAT TO BRING
Format: Auditions will consist entirely of cold reads from script sides provided at the audition. You do not need to prepare a monologue in advance.

🎅🏻What to Bring: Please bring a printed headshot and resume if you have them.

🎄Conflicts: A rehearsal schedule will be available at auditions. You will be asked to fill out an audition form listing any known schedule conflicts.

🎁SHOW SYNOPSIS
It’s Christmas time in the small town of Fayro, Texas, and the Futrelle sisters are having a rough holiday season. Frankie is severely overdue with twins, T***k is in jail after a local mishap, and Honey Raye is struggling to keep the church Christmas pageant from falling apart. Add in food poisoning, a Santa with a kidney stone, a vengeful sheep, and a surprise Elvis impersonator, and you have a recipe for hilarious holiday chaos!
