DID YOU KNOW…
The Branford Land Trust is run entirely by VOLUNTEERS and supported by members and generous donations from the community.
The BLT manages and protects more than 1,000 ACRES in more than 130 parcels and holds conservation easements on another 400 acres in Branford.
Our open space properties are home to coastal WILDLIFE including native and migrating birds, and many endangered and threatened species.
The BLT maintains 30+ miles of hiking TRAILS, bridges, and boardwalks that are open to everyone.
Our PROPERTY MANAGEMENT volunteers help to monitor properties, remove of invasive plants, mow fields, build and maintain trails, and do lots of post-storm clean-up.
We also maintain a few buildings, including the HISTORIC Branford Land Trust House in Stony Creek.
We host an Annual Lecture Series, animal tracking CLASSES, guided HIKES, and our annual Hands-on Environment Day CAMP.
We participate in the Branford Festival each year, and have enjoyed recent COLLABORATIONS with the Blackstone Library, the BACA, and EVOLUTIONS, a free youth program for New Haven area high school students.
Your donation during The Great Give will support all of these efforts. Thank you!
