Our shelter is down to our very last bag of regular dry cat food, and with so many hungry bellies to feed, we could really use your help.

Smokey Needs Our Help!

Smokey came to us as a stray, already dealing with a painful ear hematoma. We tried to help him without surgery, but unfortunately, lancing the hematoma failed twice.

When Smokey came back to the shelter, his ear swelled up incredibly fast, leaving him uncomfortable and needing more extensive treatment.

Now, Smokey needs surgery this Wednesday to finally repair his ear and hopefully put an end to this painful ordeal.

This sweet boy has already been through so much just trying to survive on his own. He deserves to feel better, be comfortable, and finally know what it’s like to be safe and loved.

We could really use your help with Smokey’s medical expenses. Every donation, no matter the amount, helps us get him the care he needs. And if you can’t donate, sharing Smokey’s story is just as important.

Please keep Smokey in your thoughts this Wednesday. We are hoping for a successful surgery and a much happier, healthier ear for this sweet boy. ❤️

Two years. 730 days. Zinnia is still waiting. 🥺

Today, September 27th, marks the exact two year anniversary of Zinnia arriving at the cafe. For two solid years, she has watched countless other cats get chosen and head off to their forever homes, including very recently, her longtime friend, Dahlia.

There is a quiet corner in our lounge, reminding us that Zinnia is the very last remaining cat from her hoarding case rescue group, where all the kitties were named after flowers. Zinnia is the final flower left in the garden.🐾🥀

She has spent 24 months being the patient bystander to everyone else’s happy ending. Now it’s her turn! Please share her story so she can finally have her happy ending. ✨

In 2016, A Chance for Love Rescue was officially recognized as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, marking the beginning of an incredible journey dedicated to giving cats a second chance.

Over the past 10 years, we have rescued countless cats, provided medical care, found loving homes, supported cats in need, and built a community of dedicated volunteers, fosters, adopters, and supporters.

One of our greatest milestones has been opening our shelter in 2026, giving cats a safe place to heal, grow, and wait for their forever homes.

What started as a mission to help cats has grown into something so much bigger, and we couldn’t have done it without the people who have believed in us and supported our work along the way.

To celebrate this incredible milestone, we’re bringing everyone together for a night of Mixtape Match Bingo and our annual Catoberfest Raffles!

Join us for an evening filled with music, bingo, prizes, raffles, and plenty of fun as we celebrate 10 years of A Chance for Love Rescue and all the cats who have been part of our journey.

Yesterday, Tico became our first adoption from the shelter!

After everything it took to get here, the hard work, the renovations, the long days, and all the love poured into creating a safe place for cats.. watching Tico leave through those doors and head home to his family was a moment we’ll never forget.

Congratulations, sweet Tico. Your happily ever after has begun. ❤️
