The last 10 days have been very busy for us with our pet food bank, TNR trapping and many vet appointments. The first appointment was an 8 week old kitten that was found injured with a large wound and a fractured tooth. We were able to get an urgent care appointment and Binks is now doing great with the kind family who found her. Next we had an elderly person who is struggling to find housing and needed a vet appointment for her dog with severe allergies. We were able to get Squeaky in for an exam and initial treatment. We also had 9 cats trapped, spayed, neutered, vaccinated and treated for ticks and fleas. One of the cats had a recent injury to his tail with most of it missing. Dr. K repaired the amputation and Bob Owl is recovering with us until he completes his medication and the tail repair is healed. We would like to thank White Oak Urgent Care, Potomac Animal Wellness Services and especially Paw Prints Animal Hospital for helping us keep pets healthy and out of the shelters and rescues. The total of our vet bills for the last ten days is $1859.50. We need the support of our community to continue to help homeless animals and struggling pet owners.
