Brandywine, MD - A budding rescue near us has kitties available.

This boy was found on the 22nd of June in Morningside, MD and he is not neutered, nor does he have a microchip, only has a collar on. The finder put in a found report with Prince George's County, the 23 pet connect website, and put up paper flyers in the area. Fast forward to July 3rd and we are almost 2 weeks into a 30-day stray hold before he can be rehomed. Still hoping an owner comes forward.

Meet Blaze, the Playful Feline Companion

Blaze is no ordinary cat. He’s a ball of energy wrapped in soft, striped fur, with an insatiable curiosity about the world around him. Whether it’s chasing after a stray beam of sunlight or pouncing on a piece of string, this little guy never seems to tire of playtime.

He has a particular fondness for petting. In fact, if you even glance in his direction, he’ll saunter over, tail high, with a confident meow that seems to say, "Are you ready to pet me yet?" His purring is almost constant, vibrating like a motor as soon as your hand makes contact with his sleek coat. He loves the attention, often arching his back and pressing his head into your palm, as if asking for more.

Blaze has an almost childlike playfulness, often darting around the house as if he’s on an exciting mission. He’ll leap from furniture to furniture with an agility that’s almost too graceful for a creature of his size. And when he’s had his fill of running, he’ll curl up in your lap, purring loudly as he soaks in all the affection you’re willing to give.

But be warned—his love for petting comes with a twist. If you stop before he’s ready, he’ll give you that "look"—wide-eyed, slightly tilting his head—as if to say, "Why would you stop? This is the best part!" Then, he’ll nudge your hand with his nose, asking for just a little more.

In the evenings, when the sun dips below the horizon, Blaze is usually found curled up next to you on the couch, his purring soft but steady, a reminder that no matter how hectic the day has been, there’s always time for a little love and play.
