Sara Gunter with The Mustard Seed was our speaker today. She talked about all the programs that the Seedsters are involved with. They always have something going on. Sara said the Seedsters love it there, and the workers may love it even more. They love having people in the community volunteer at The Mustard Seed, and the Seedsters enjoy meeting new people. Don't hesitate to contact them about volunteer opportunities. It's a great organization that enriches and blesses the lives of some special people. We were honored to donate $250 to them today.

We had the pleasure of recognizing two great people at The Learning Center today! Veronica Bass was awarded the Staff Member of the Month, and Patrick Cannon was recognized as the Teacher of the Month. Both were given gift cards by the club. We appreciate their hard work and dedication, and we hope they enjoy their summer break.

Michael Hales with M2 Leadership Consulting was our speaker today. Michael told us about his story and lessons he learned throughout his life. The talk was titled "Five Lessons I Learned Later Than I Should Have." It was simple and practical, but it's very impactful stuff. Even though the weather wasn't ideal, we had a good fundraiser today to raise funds for beds for less fortunate kids in Rankin County. We'd like to give a shoutout to Kramer Sowell and his Ag kids at Pelahatchie High School. They did a great job on the ribeye steak sandwiches. 🥩🍴😋

We had the pleasure of recognizing LaTamarah Boykins as the Support Staff Member of the Month at The Learning Center‼️ Stephanie McCrary was the Teacher of the Month (not pictured). Both received $25 gift cards.

We also provided 🍩 for the teachers and staff for Teacher Appreciation Week. We appreciate the hard work of all the wonderful folks at The Learning Center‼️

Carter Smith was our speaker today. He's running for Circuit Court Judge for Rankin and Madison counties. He's currently deputy counsel with MDOT. He's been a prosecutor and defense attorney, and he has a lot of experience in circuit court. We were glad to have him today.

Jason Scarborough with Audibles with Jason Scarborough was our speaker today. Jason talked how he formed his multimedia company Spirit Media Network. He primarily covers sports on his show Audibles, but he delves into politics and other areas as well. He has interviewed some heavy hitters and legends in MS. The show has really grown and continues to grow. In addition to his online show, his show is now shown on 20+ TV stations across the South.

Rep. Lance Varner was our speaker today. He gave a recap on the legislative session this year. He also talked a good bit about school choice. Lance discussed the legislative process and how the sausage is made at the Capitol. Additionally, he discussed the race for Governor next year.
