We had a jam-packed program last week‼️ Dr. Aleshia Carter with Hager's House, a women's and children's shelter, was our speaker. They help women and kids that are victims of domestic violence. We were honored to donate $250 to them.

We also had an induction ceremony for our new officers for the upcoming year. Mylan Anderson passed the gavel to Laura Cole as the new President. Jake Brown was inducted as the new Vice President. Derek Hayes was inducted as the Secretary. Martin Keil was inducted as the Treasurer. We're looking forward to a great 2026-2027 for our club!

Also, Derek Hayes was recognized as the Kiwanian of the Year‼️ Derek does a lot for our club, and we appreciate his hard work and dedication.

🏌‍♂️⛳️ We had a great golf tournament yesterday‼️ We'd like to thank everyone that participated, and we'd like to thank all our sponsors. The money raised is going to a great cause to provide beds for less fortunate kids in Rankin County. Fun was had by all. 🏌‍♂️⛳️

👩‍🏫🎒🏫We were honored to recognize two special ladies at The Learning Center this morning‼️ Shanna Franklin was the Teacher of the Month, and Julie Squyres was the Support Staff Member of the Month. Both received $25 gift cards. We appreciate their hard work and dedication‼️ 👊👏

David & Kimberly Buford with the Gabby Strong Foundation were our speakers today. Their daughter, Gabrielle, passed away from a rare form of brain cancer. Before she passed, she said she wanted to help other kids and families feel loved like she was during her fight with cancer.

So, David and Kimberly have been doing what Gabrielle wanted them to do. Their foundation helps kids and their families that are battling cancer, and they raise money for pediatric cancer research.

Our club proudly donated $250 to their foundation.

Chris Gomes was our speaker last week. He is the co-founder, President and CEO of Delta Waste Solutions. He talked about his journey before co-founding the company. He also discussed what Delta does, which is roll-off dumpster rentals and commercial waste services. The company has had fantastic growth in its first 4 years in business, and they continue to grow at a rapid pace. We're blessed to have folks like Chris and his crew in central MS. We look forward to watching the continued growth of his company.

🔥🏈 It was rockin today at the Pelahatchie High School football pep rally‼️ We were honored to recognize Ms. April Walsh as the Teacher of the Month‼️ We appreciate her hard work and dedication! 🏈🔥

Langston Moore was our speaker today. He is the Project Manager for the Mississippi Lung Cancer Roundtable which is a consortium of public, private, and voluntary organizations that work together to fight lung cancer by engaging in research and projects.

He mentioned that 1,600 people in Mississippi die each year from lung cancer. He talked about the importance of getting screened for lung cancer. He said it's important to catch it early, because the survival rate if it reaches stage 3 or 4 is not good.

We were honored to recognize 2 special ladies at The Learning Center this morning‼️ Lanier Craft (on left) was recognized as the Teacher of the Month, and Betty Evans (on right) was recognized as the Support Staff Member of the Month. We appreciate the dedication and hard work of these ladies. 🥳👏🎊
