Our friends at Addison County Relocalization Network (ACORN) just launched the new Eat Local VT App.
The Eat Local VT app makes it easy to find local food in our agricultural, rural, and geographically dispersed area!

Available to download for free in the Apple App Store and Google Play Store, the app makes it easy for residents and visitors in Vermont’s Champlain Valley to find and connect with the nearly 250 farmers and food producers in our community. This app, which serves as an online version of ACORN's Local Food and Farm Guide, was developed in conjunction with Middlebury College’s MiddDev student club and ACORN.

A message from the UVM Seeds Research Team!

Dear Vermont Resident,
Do you produce seeds for your own garden, to share, or to sell? If so, we are interested in learning more about you. We are a team of researchers at the University of Vermont studying seed production and exchange in Vermont. Our goal is to highlight all the activity that is happening within our state that provides an alternative to large, out-of-state seed companies. At this point, we are preparing to conduct a survey in the next year but because no research has been done on Vermont seed systems before, we first need
to find out who is participating in the production and distribution of seeds in the state. So, if you grow seeds for yourself, to share, or to sell and want to contribute in the future to this research study, please email us at [email protected]:

Your name, email address, & zip code

Providing this information is completely voluntary and confidential. Your participation will greatly enhance this research study. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact Dr. Daniel Tobin at [email protected] or 802-656-4374.
Best regards,

The UVM Seeds Research Team
