Brandon History Center We are located in the Historic Brandon Auditorium which is on the National Register of Historic Places.

The Brandon Auditorium was designed by Minneapolis architect F. Boes Pfeifer and constructed in 1935-36 by local workers hired under the auspices of the Works Progress Administration ( W.P.A.)

R.H. Dahl Antique Cookbook on display at the Brandon History Center.
Recently a copy of this antique cookbook was donated to the Brandon History Center. It was given out as a premium by the R.H. Dahl general store which was located on Front Stree approximately where the present groomer is located. It would have been given out in the late 1920s or early 1930s. Here is a sample of some of the things that might have been cooked in those days. If you wish to see more, stop in at the Brandon History Center for a look through this antique cookbook.

Thank you to everyone who stopped by the Brandon History Center booth at the Douglas County Fair. It was great visiting with all of you. To learn more about the veterans who wore these uniforms, stop by the Brandon History Center. We are located in the Brandon Auditorium, 105 Holmes Avenue in Brandon.
