While coming in I-4 yesterday, we witness a Ford Expedition SUV get out of control when a rear tire get damge by a metal object in the 4th lane. The
man was traveling with his baby girl dog and his car lost control and jump the right cement bar division and return back to the lane causing his rear driver door to open and his dog to escape to the highway.
We immediately react and slow down the traffic that comes about 60-80 miles, stop the traffic and alert the 911. A Fl Highway patrol came and the man discovered that his airbags deployed and the smoke smell in his SUV indicates he don't have a car to return home. He is an Army Retire men struggling depression and we offer a helping hand to be safe with friends last night. As a CERT Member, we did the right thing.
