Pierce was born October 26, 2009. I never knew anything was wrong with him until shortly after he was born. He was diagnoses with critical arotic stenosis. A narrowing of his aortic valve. At the thime Batson Hospital could not treat Pierce, so they flew us to Children's National Medical Center in Washington D.C. I had to leave my other three children behind. We

stayed in D.C. for a month and they said that the only way to help Pierce was to get a "New Heart." So we boarded another plane and flew to Arkansas Childrens Hospital to wait for a heart transplant. We were in Little Rock for a month and a half. Pierce lost his fight before a heart became avaliable on January 15, 2010. Since then I was givin a passion to help Batson Hospital so that others did not have to fly around the world for help much less leave their families and friends. The Brandon Soccer League host a Memorial Soccer Tournament each February also. Batson Hospital now has a cardiac team and surgeons. They have even started doing transplants. This auction and the proceeds from it will help to build the new cardiac tower at batson Hospital. I am attaching several web sites to share with you Pierces journey and what our family experienced during that time. We hope to continue to have the auction to make a difference and help other heart families. Thank you for liking this page and taking the time to read this. Here are a few guidelines to keep things organized and running smoothly. Bidding:

Bidding will begin on February 7, 2014 at 8am. You must have a PayPal to bid on items. Please bid under the item with the amount you wish to bid and beside that, please include your PayPal address. Your bid will not count unless the PayPal address is included. By bidding, you are stating that you are ready and willing to purchase that item for your bid amount. If you are outbid, you are under no obligation to buy. But in all other cases, you are entering a contract to buy the item, and to deliver payment within the time period specified. If you can't pay, on time, don't bid! Your bids are final and non-retractable. What do I do after the auction? The auction will close at midnight on February 21. NO MORE BIDS will be accepted after this time. If you bid after the cut off time, your bid WILL NOT COUNT. We will name the winning bidder beneath the item and then send the invoice via PayPal. Once contact has begun, the payment arrangements, shipping arrangements, and expected dates should be settled upon. Payments will go to the PayPal address, [email protected]. The goal is to complete the transaction within 10 days of auction closing. Shipping will be included on the auction items with the exception of items that are indicated otherwise.. We are very excited to hold this event for the 4th consecutive year, raising almost $20,000 total to benefit the heart unit at Blair E. Batson Hospital for Children. We thank you for your support to make this event happen. We could not make this happen without donors and bidders alike. Last but not least, have fun and happy bidding!

❤️ Congenital Heart Disease families, and professionals, we need your help.

If you’ve ever spent your lunch break arguing with insurance, kept medication schedules in your head, repeated the same medical history to five different providers, or carried a folder full of records everywhere you go…

…this is for you.

We are collecting anonymous stories about the invisible work of caregiving and living with complex medical conditions.

Not just the appointments and surgeries, but the paperwork, prior authorizations, pharmacy calls, scheduling, reminders, and mental load that nobody sees.

❤️ Every story matters

Whether you’re a heart warrior, a parent, spouse, caregiver, or someone who has spent years professionally navigating congenital heart disease, your experience matters.

Our hope is simple: listen first, learn what people actually need, and use those stories to build something that gives families back time and peace of mind.

If this sounds like your life, I’d be honored if you’d take a few minutes to participate

and share it with another CHD family who might have a story to tell.

Because the invisible work deserves to be seen. 💙❤️

Documenting the Invisible Work of Caregiving Description: Help us document the invisible work of caregiving. If you’ve ever felt like you became a scheduler, insurance expert, pharmacist, advocate, and case manager instead of simply a caregiver, maybe even a chance to just be MOM, this is for you....
