In honor of Maddy’s 5th birthday today, I wanted to share a little update of a couple of ways we have continued to spread her light, love, and legacy!
Because of YOUR hearts and support, we have been able to gift families in the midst of their biggest battle of childhood cancer, with wagons that provide rest and items to bring joy and support to each family member.
Something else we have been able to do recently is create MADDY CADDIES for Children’s of Mississippi Hospital! We provided a Maddy Art Caddy filled with items that give families a way to create beautiful art while inpatient. We also provided a Maddy Care Caddy filled with care items that are most needed for families while inpatient. These are items that we will replenish when needed and hope to grow in the future. 💛

I know it’s been quiet on here for awhile, but we did want to update you on all that we have been able to do for families here in MS battling childhood cancer recently.

This week, we were able to donate a wagon-filled care package to Harper and her family. Harper was recently diagnosed with WILMS tumor. She is a Clinton native, but will be making many travels back and forth to St. Jude. Please be in prayer for her and her family.

Afterwards, we were able to travel down to Jackson to deliver FOUR wagon-filled care packages for families receiving treatment at Children’s of Mississippi. These four wagons were carefully and thoughtfully put together in honor of Maddy’s recent 4th birthday.

We reached out to other families that have experienced life inpatient battling childhood cancer for their thoughts and referred back to our years of experience to determine the items that would be the most needed for every member of a family (patient, caregivers, and siblings).

We are SO grateful to have been able to bless 5 families this week with much needed items in hopes of bringing some light into the darkest times of their lives. We were only able to do this because of YOU!! You all have continued to support our local foundation and are the reason we have been able to spread joy in honor of our Maddy. THANK YOU.💛

It's that wonderful time of year again!!
The time of the year where we announce our Annual Miracle Maddy 5k!
Our 5k originally began in 2021 when our community rallied around us to raise funds to help support our family during Maddy's battle with leukemia.
In 2022, Maddy was able to make her grand appearance at the 5k and meet all of you that had sent her so much love and prayers. It will forever be our personal favorite 5k.
Last year in 2023, this 5k was used to support 3 Mississippi families battling childhood cancer along with sending love and goodies to many families receiving care at Children’s of Mississippi in memory of Maddy.
We have experienced so much loss and mentally hard times over the last few years, but we are able to continue this because of YOU! Because of all of you continuing to surround us with your love and support. Because of all of you and your love, we are able to continue spreading that same goodness to the many families currently in the middle of their fight.

We are hoping to make this year's 5k the most magical and memorable one yet with an added flare! A GLOW RUN!

This 5k will take place on April 6th at night and will be filled with lots of bright colors.
So wear your most colorful, joyful, neon clothes and be ready to run or walk in support of MS families battling childhood cancer!

There will also be a kids' fun run again this year, so make it a fun family event!

We can't wait to see you all there!

4th Annual Miracle Maddy 5k GLOW RUN

We recently had the opportunity to spread a little Christmas joy to the hematology/oncology families at Children’s of Mississippi that will be spending their holidays there as they continue to fight the biggest fight of their lives.

Maddy spent her very first Christmas inpatient and I remember the only thing to get us through those times were all the love we received from family, friends, staff, and strangers. We tried to make it feel as much like home and Christmas as we possibly could.

In Maddy’s memory and her legacy that reminds us all to wake up each day and CHOOSE JOY, we chose to provide all things that can help these families do just that. Wrapping paper, stockings, crafts for families to work on together and use as decoration, gloves, beanies, fuzzy socks, and coffee mugs for parents, and several toys for each kid and sibling to have at least one present to open on Christmas morning. ❤️

Why are funds needed??
We are a non-profit organization that is working hard to build and grow so we can reach more families.
In order to best support local Mississippi families battling childhood cancer, we need more funding.
We are fully funded through all of YOU. We wouldn’t be able to do what we do without your help!

Where does the money go??
The majority of our money goes towards sending families on trips to create a space away from the cancer world and to just be a ”normal” family. We also send care packages for each member of the family, because the whole family is fighting.

The rest of our money goes towards care packages and treats for caregivers and patients that are inpatient at Children’s of Mississippi.
