🛍️ Shop. Support. Make a Difference!
A little more about our SchoolStore fundraiser
Dear Branchburg Families,
We've heard some questions and concerns about our new SchoolStore fundraiser, and we'd love to take a moment to explain how it works!
First, thank you for caring so much about our schools, teachers, and children. We appreciate your feedback and understand that this fundraiser may not have been as clearly explained as it could have been.
💙 Did you know? You can support our schools just by shopping!
SchoolStore partners with more than 300 online merchants, including familiar retailers such as Walmart, Best Buy, and many others.
Here's how it works:
1. Visit SchoolStore.com and select your school.
2. Browse participating retailers and find stores where you already shop.
3. Access the retailer through SchoolStore and make your usual purchases.
4. A percentage of eligible purchases goes back to support our school!
No additional purchases are necessary. No extra spending is expected. Just an opportunity to make your everyday shopping benefit our students and teachers.
Each merchant offers a different percentage, so you can see how your purchases may support the school.
🎁 What about the Book Buddy prizes and eight emails?
We know this has raised questions, and we understand why!
The Book Buddy is a participation incentive offered through SchoolStore. To qualify for the initial participation prize, families are asked to complete the registration process and send eight invitation emails to friends or family.
These invitations are not a requirement to donate or make a purchase. They are part of SchoolStore's participation prize process.
We recognize that some families may not feel comfortable sending these invitations, and we respect that choice.
❤️ Participation is always optional!
Every family has different circumstances, preferences, and ways of supporting our schools.
Whether you participate through SchoolStore, volunteer your time, support another PTO event, or simply cheer on our school community, we appreciate you.
We never want any child or family to feel pressured or left out.
🌟 Other ways to support
SchoolStore also offers options to:
● Purchase classroom support gift cards, with 100% of the donation going directly to the designated teacher.
● Purchase Gift of Reading cards, with 100% going toward books and educational resources for the designated student.
● Shop participating retailers that contribute a percentage of eligible sales to our school.
Please note: Regular merchant shopping supports the school but does not necessarily earn student prize points. Prize eligibility depends on the specific SchoolStore activity.
Thank you for being part of our school community!
Your questions and feedback help us communicate better and make our fundraising efforts more meaningful for everyone.
Together, every little contribution makes a difference!
With appreciation,
Branchburg PTO
