Yesterday, the town of Braintree made history, overwhelmingly passing an override to support the very fabric of this community, our teachers, our first responders, and our public works department.

To everyone who came out to vote, who engaged in discussion with friends and neighbors, who supported or volunteered with this campaign, we are extremely grateful. Braintree has put the strength of our community first and for that we can all be proud.

To those who did not support a Yes vote today we appreciated the opposing views and the difficult conversations.

In the days and weeks ahead we all must work to keep moving Braintree forward together. There is much work to be done.

For now though, we celebrate.

5PM UPDATE!!!

New numbers from town clerk, 7,534 votes cast. Turnout is 26.55% with 3 hours to go. Based on precinct #'s we think we have a chance to make history but need every last vote! Get out to the polls if you have not yet! Vote, vote, vote Braintree!

3PM UPDATE!!!

We are encouraged by the turnout numbers so far! Over 6,500 votes have been cast before 3pm per Town Clerk. Breakdown by precinct is in line with where we thought we would have to be but we have to finish STRONG! 💪💪💪

Polls close at 8pm! If you have NOT voted please get out and do so, this could end up being a very tight result and we need all our supporters to get to the polls. Let's go Braintree!

As of midday there have been 4,037 votes cast across town including absentee! Polls are open till 8pm Braintree.

We got a big day tomorrow! Actually a pretty nice little Saturday, we're going to go to the special election. Pass an override, maybe make history, stuff like that. Maybe the Farmer's Market, I don't know, I don't know if we'll have enough time.
