Dear Challenger Families:

This is not an announcement that we like to have to make, especially for our last game of the season, but the state of Massachusetts has issued a heat advisory for tomorrow, and we don't feel that it would be safe for our kids to be playing baseball in 95 degree heat. Add in thunderstorm warnings, and we get the hint, Mother Nature. The good news is that the award ceremony/pizza party and picture taking is still on for next week, rain or shine, heat advisory or not!! We'll miss you all tomorrow, but please stay cool and safe, and we will see you all next week!

Unfortunately, although the skies are clearing, our fields have been completely flooded and it would not be safe to play tomorrow. Please enjoy your time with your families, as we remember our heroes this Memorial Day weekend. See you all next week!

It is with extreme sadness that we have to share that we lost one of the best coaches that Challenger League has ever had. Every Sunday during baseball season, Coach Joe arrived early, along with Jim Harrison, waiting for the inevitable high fives and hugs that they would receive from the kids. He just loved them so much and they loved him. At the end of the game, he would say that there was no better way to spend a Sunday, and he was right. Joe was always so sad to see the baseball season end, because it meant not seeing everyone until the following year. He loved our program that much. Our next season will be dedicated to Joe, because there is nothing better than spending a Sunday at Hollingsworth Park. When you leave the game with a smile, think of Joe. We know that we will. Forever in our hearts.

Hi everyone,

We are sorry to have to cancel, but due to the forecast (and already started to rain in Braintree), we need to cancel
today's games.
The "good" news is that we have rescheduled Picture Day to Sunday, June 30th, which is the same day as
our "Trophy/Pizza Party" at the Sons of Italy Hall in Braintree. We will be able
to take pictures rain or shine (either outside or inside the hall).

Just a reminder to Everyone that today is Opening Day! Start time is 1 PM but if you missed the uniform pickup at the Meet and Greet, we ask that you please arrive about 15 minutes early so we can get you all the supplies you need! We are very excited to see everyone! Play ball! ⚾️
