Many thanks to our friends at Life Community Church Braintree for hosting their Annual Pajama drive this Sunday 9 am to 12 noon at the old South Middle School. All pajamas are donated to Braintree children needing assistance this holiday season.

We now have seen our requests rise past 230 families to 241. We anticipate the need to grow even further, to possibly 260 families needing baskets.

The Marge Crispin Center is a 501c3 organization. Your donation could be tax deductible. We are also seeking corporate partnerships to help us in our campaign. We want to thank everyone’s support and donations to our Thanksgiving Food Baskets Drive thus far. We are still working to meet our fundraising goal to fulfill 260 baskets.

Each basket is roughly $100 and includes everything for Thanksgiving Dinner from rolls, stuffing, corn, green beans, instant potatoes, gravy, pasta, sauce, mac and cheese, apple juice and cranberry sauce to a large Turkey & pie.

There has been a substantial increase in applications for assistance with Thanksgiving. We now have seen our requests rise to 230 families. We anticipate the need to grow even further, to possibly 260 families needing baskets. It is our primary focus to not refuse anyone that needs help. These are our friends and neighbors.

***Thanksgiving Basket Update***

Thanks so much for everyone’s support and donations to our Thanksgiving Food Baskets Drive. So far we’ve raised about 1/3 of the funds needed to put together 200 baskets to assist local families in need. We are still working to meet our fundraising goal.

Each basket is $100 and includes everything for Thanksgiving Dinner including a large Turkey. We are seeing a sharp increase in demand so your help and support is greatly appreciated.

Efforts are underway to assist those impacted by SNAP benefit disruption. If you need food assistance, please reach out to the center at 781-848-2124. We would be happy to assist you in any way possible. We treat everyone with dignity and respect, no judgement and no questions.

Thank you to those who have reached out to help. Any donation goes a long way to help our local friends and neighbors in need. And thank you to the Mayors office and the Town of Braintree for their organizing and coordinating efforts. We all love our generous community and it truly shows.

To help our friends and neighbors who may be affected by the reduction in SNAP benefits, the Town has partnered with the Marge Crispin Center to try to lend a helping hand. Throughout the month of November, we will be collecting specific food items each week. Starting the week of November 3rd, we will be collecting cereal donations.

All items can be dropped off at Town Hall where tables will be set up by the front doors. All food collected will be distributed through the Marge Crispin Center. Thank you in advance for your support in helping those in need within our community.

We have begun our Thanksgiving Food Basket Drive. This year our goal is 200 baskets to assist local families in need this Thanksgiving. We are already seeing very high numbers of families needing assistance. We will most likely exceed 200 baskets.

Each basket costs $100. It contains a large turkey and all the fixing’s for Thanksgiving dinner including dessert.

Any donation in any amount helps and will go directly towards the costs of these baskets. We realize everyone’s own food budget has tightened these last few years. Your continued support is greatly appreciated.

The Marge Crispin Center is a 501c3 charity recognized by the IRS.

Today we were honored to accept a generous donation from the Braintree Chamber of Commerce for our food pantry program. The raffle sales from their Holiday Open House this past December were a huge success! They have supported the center for many years and we are grateful for their partnership and support.
