🐾 MILO HAS BEEN ADOPTED! 🐾

Oh, Milo. This is the ending we were hoping for. ❤️

When Milo came to us, his story broke our hearts. He had been left behind when his family moved away, and despite being microchipped, they chose not to take him back.

But Milo’s story didn’t end there.

It ended with Paula choosing him. ❤️

Paula isn’t pictured here, but her daughter Tina came to the shelter to pick up this sweet boy and bring him home to his new mom. And after everything Milo has been through, there is something especially beautiful about watching him leave the shelter knowing that this time, someone is waiting for him.

No more wondering where his people went.
No more being left behind.
No more waiting.

From now on, Milo gets to know what it feels like to be chosen, wanted, safe, and loved.

Thank you, Paula, for giving this gentle boy the forever home he deserved all along — and thank you, Tina, for coming to bring him home. ❤️

Happy life, Milo! You’ll never be left behind again. 🐾🏡❤️

🎉 ADOPTED! 🎉

After surviving life on the streets, searching for food and a safe place to escape the cold, Archie has finally found exactly what he was looking for… a family to call his own. ❤️

This sweet, affectionate boy captured our hearts with his gentle nature, endless love for attention, and grateful spirit. Despite being FIV+, Archie never let anything stop him from being the loving companion we knew he could be.

Now, his days of wondering where his next meal will come from or where he’ll sleep are over. Instead, he’ll spend them being spoiled, cherished, and loved by his wonderful new family.

Congratulations to Maia and Manny on welcoming Archie into your hearts and home! We know this handsome boy has many happy years of cuddles, playtime, and unconditional love ahead of him.

Thank you for choosing adoption and for giving Archie the second chance he so deserved. Happy life, sweet boy! 🐾💕

🐾 CAT VOLUNTEERS NEEDED! 🐾

Do you speak fluent cat? We may have the volunteer opportunity for you!

South Shore Humane Society is looking for experienced, cat-savvy volunteers to help socialize our feline residents. This role is incredibly rewarding.
Many of our cats come to us scared, shy, or unsure of people. Volunteers play a huge role in helping them build confidence, learn to trust, and ultimately find loving forever homes. There is nothing quite like watching a frightened cat blossom because of the time and patience you've had with them.
We are currently looking to cover our Sunday am shift which you can start anytime but no later than 8am. If you woild like to learn more or want to become a volunteer please reach out.

Sometimes one cat steals your heart… and sometimes three do.

When Christina submitted an application for Crumpet, she thought she was coming to meet one special cat. But when she arrived and saw the bond between Crumpet and his buddies Mario and Garrett, she simply couldn’t imagine separating them.

So instead of taking home one cat, she opened her heart and home to all three!

We are absolutely thrilled to share that Crumpet, our Friday’s Fabulous Feline, was adopted along with Mario and Garrett. These boys have been through so much together, and now they get to begin their next chapter side by side in a loving forever home.

Thank you, Christina, for seeing how special these friends are and for giving them the chance to stay together. Stories like this remind us why we do what we do.

Happy tails, Crumpet, Mario, and Garrett! We can’t wait to see all the adventures that await you in your new home. ❤️🐾
