This year’s BEA tree theme “Sailing into a Sea of Knowledge” was inspired by both the wonders of the oceans that surround us and the magic of Christmas brought to life in the book The Christmas Ship, by local author Dean Morrissey. It has been a joy to create a Christmas tree which combines our love of learning with the imagination of Morrissey’s Christmas story set in our neighboring town of Scituate. Special thank you to Hollis 4th graders for the beautiful sailboat ornaments.

Dr. Betsey Clifford (left), the K-12 Director of Science, earned the David Byron Award for her service and leadership to the Massachusetts Association of Science Teachers (MAST).

Ms. Lauren Saniuk (right), a Braintree High School teacher, received the Norfolk County Science Teacher of the Year Award.

Your recognition is well deserved, and we appreciate all that you do for the district, and for our students!
