From a desire to retain excellent teachers, develop “Teacher Leaders”, and strengthen the future of our Catholic elementary schools, the Teacher Leader Academy was born. It was a bold investment that has already impacted over 12,000 students and will create a leadership pipeline for years to come.

Last month, priests, religious, and laypeople gathered for a workshop on synodality: what it is, how to practice it, and why it's important.

A defining principle of Pope Francis' papacy, synodality fostering understanding and community through conversation and, most importantly, listening.

This workshop was the first in a series on synodality. On November 4, the archdiocese will host a synodal symposium with Archbishop Richard G. Henning and Sister Nathalie Becquart, undersecretary of the Synod of Bishops, at Immaculate Conception Parish in Malden.

Last week the parishioners of Saint Antoine Daveluy Korean Parish had a dual celebration, recognizing both the Feast of Korean Martyrs and the 50th anniversary of the parish with prayer, games, and good food!

The Archdiocese of Boston is rich in the depth and breadth of its diversity, and we are proud to celebrate the many cultures and customs of our 247 parishes!

Over the summer months, we spoke with many young adults and captured their stories of faith, all of which underscore Archbishop Henning’s observations that, “Young people are not the future of the Church; they are the NOW of the Church. And the Holy Spirit is calling them to a renewal of faith and to a renewal of community love. It moves my heart and fills me with great hope.” To see young adults alive with curiosity and passion for the Catholic faith is deeply heartening.
