🚲🎉 Friday Fun at the Arb! 🎉🚲

When it came time to draw the winner of our Pivot Point Dirt Jumper Bike, we decided a normal drawing just wasn't going to cut it.

So naturally, Director Trevor and Trevor 2.0 geared up in full safety equipment, loaded the entries into a garbage can, and used a leaf blower to launch them into the air.

As names flew across the deck, Trevor 2.0 attempted the impossible: catching the winning entry mid-flight. Did it work? You'll have to watch the video to find out!

A huge thank you to Red Raven Bike Shop for donating this incredible Pivot Point Dirt Jumper Bike valued at $1,799. Their generosity is helping us grow our All-Inclusive Membership program and continue building support for the Northland Arboretum Bike Park.

We're incredibly grateful for Red Raven's partnership and for everyone who purchased a membership & entered the drawing. Community support like yours is helping create more opportunities for outdoor recreation right here in the Brainerd Lakes Area.

Congratulations to our winners! We'll be reaching out directly to coordinate your bike pick up.

Now sit back, enjoy the chaos, and see if Trevor 2.0 has what it takes to snag a winner out of thin air.

Trevor set out to explain how PlantSoon works...

Somewhere along the way, he started telling a story about Achilles, a bath, and maybe taro? Honestly, we’re not entirely sure.

What we do know is that PlantSoon is an awesome tool that lets you scan QR codes throughout the Arboretum to learn about plants, save your favorites, and even plan your own home garden.

Watch the video for the plant information. Stay for Trevor’s history lesson... or mythology lesson... or whatever was happening there.

Enjoying the trails with your four-legged friend? Help us keep the Northland Arboretum safe, clean, and enjoyable for everyone!

Please remember to:

✅ Keep your dog on a leash at all times
✅ Clean up after your pet
✅ Use the waste bags and disposal stations provided throughout the Arboretum

Leashing your dog isn’t just a rule, it helps protect them. Dogs that stay on leash are less likely to encounter wildlife, run into dangerous situations, pick up ticks from tall grass, or bring poison ivy oils home on their fur. Staying on designated trails and keeping pets close also helps protect wildlife and sensitive habitat.

Not everyone you meet on the trail is comfortable around dogs, and not every dog enjoys being approached by other dogs. Keeping your pet leashed helps ensure a positive experience for all visitors.

Thank you for being a responsible pet owner and helping us care for the Arboretum’s trails, wildlife, and community.

Thanks to our intern for sharing the best adventure dogs with us! .luka.n.ellie

A huge THANK YOU to the Amazon.com volunteer team for spending the day helping at the Northland Arboretum!

Their group tackled a wide variety of spring cleanup projects throughout the property and made a huge impact in just an hour. Volunteers helped clean the pond in the Memorial Garden, clear leaves in the Secret Garden, and clean trails to help keep the Arb beautiful and welcoming for our community.

We are incredibly grateful for groups like this who give back through hands-on volunteer work. Your time, energy, and teamwork truly make a difference, and we appreciate everything you accomplished during your visit.

Thank you again for supporting the Arb and helping us care for this special place! 🌲
