In a message shared with supporters, the organization said it had spent the past several months “realigning the work, structure, and focus” of Ruby’s Pantry to keep its mission at the center of its efforts and better align community needs with its operations.

“As a result, we have decided to end the operations of Ruby’s Pantry effective immediately,” the message said.

A resource for those in need or if anyone wants to donate in downtown Brainerd.

For our community:

Take what you need and leave what you can, being a community and taking care of each other is important.

I'll keep this table up as long as there are things on it and I'm allowed. I encourage my community that has enough to grab the extras in your pantry, grab a few extra things at the grocery store, whatever you can part with. If you can't part with anything, share this post so those that need can see.

I know we have a need for baby formula and women's menstrual products and I'll keep in the loop for different needs.

If you want to donate monetarily, message me, I'm happy to go to the grocery store and grab what's needed.

This is a community project, these tables are just here and on the honor system (please don't take the tables or bins!), you don't have to ask me to drop anything or take anything - just do it :)

We are also serving a Tulsi sunrise today if you feel like some tea ♥️

Due to the ongoing federal gov’t shutdown & a suspension of federal funding, we regret to inform you that, effective 10/16/25, both pending & new applications for Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) benefits will not be approved. We understand the impact this may have & are committed to keeping you informed as the situation evolves. You may still apply for SNAP benefits during this time. Our staff will continue to accept applications, gather verifications, & complete interviews so cases can be processed when federal funding resumes.
